MSIBC – Proven 7 second performance

Project GTS-T does it again! Now the fastest Skyline in the WORLD runs with Gizzmo's MS-IBC.
Project GTST - Now The world’s fastest Nissan Skyline & European Japanese Record Smashed again

At the FIA Main Event at Santa Pod yesterday (31st May 2010) John Bradshaw's Project GTST (2.8 liter Nissan Skyline) smashed all records running 7.45 seconds to 187 mph & then backing the run up immediately afterwards with a 7.49 @ 183 mph. In doing so the car became the world’s fastest Skyline beating the previous Heat Treatments time of 7.57 secs & reset the European record books again.

After the event an ecstatic John said "we are all just absolutely delighted & over the moon, this has been a 5 year long journey to get to this point with highs & lows along the way but it's just incredible to see the times on the boards".

The car just gets quicker & quicker every year & has gone from a completely bog standard 240 bhp road legal R33 GTST that I bought in 2005 with an aftermarket set of alloys to the 1400 + bhp snarling beast we have today & there is certainly more to come, like everyone else I have watched videos of the previous records set by both HKS & Heat Treatments in awe & in feels incredible to have run faster numbers & is just brilliant for the UK & European drag racing scene that for the first time we see the record held by a UK car.

I have to say though that I have the easy job - I just drive it !!
A huge personal thank you to all at Abbey Motorsport now tuners & engine builders of the world’s fastest Skyline, Abbey took over all engine building, tuning work & car set up including crewing at events in 2007 & have been an absolute revelation. We have always worked to a constant improvement motto & every year has seen an improvement over the previous year:

2006  9.9 secs
2007 8.5 secs
2008 7.78 secs
2009  7.68 secs
2010 (to date) 7.45 secs @ 187 mph

The Complete Turbo Management Solution

Introducing the Brand new Gizzmo MS2 boost controller

The Complete Turbo Management Solution

  • Fully configurable turbo timer
  • Active over boost control
  • Real time boost gauge
  • Adjustable up to 50lb (3.5bar)
  • 64mhz RISC Processor Technology
  • Open or Closed loop boost control
  • Suits Internal and External Wastegates

Gizzmo’s MS2 shares and builds on the proven precision boost control strategy of the MSIBC whilst also sporting a fully configurable turbo timer and boost cut remover (note 1). Our reasoning behind the addition of the turbo timer is that the cool off period of a turbo is directly proportional to the heat of the turbo which is generated by the amount of work that your turbo does. The MS2 knows exactly how much work your turbo has been doing so it seems ideal that it too would be in control of the cool off period. The MS2 also has a boost solenoid supervisor so if for any reason your boost control solenoid malfunctions the MS2 will warn you of this immediately. The MS2’s integrated boost cut remover (note1) will help you to bypass the factory boost cut to fully utilise your MS’s features. Driving all these features is the MS2’s processor which is capable of computing almost one billion calculations per minute so that you can rest easy knowing that the Gizzmo MS2 really is your complete turbo management solution.

Note1: Please note that the MS-2 will work with ECUs that require the voltage clamping between 2 and 6.5V, which suits a wide variety of cars, including Mazda’s, Toyota’s and Subaru’s.

MSIBC – Proven 7 second performance

Fastest Skyline in Europe Holds Onto Its Crown With the Gizzmo MS-IBC

The Fastest Skyline in Europe, owned and "piloted" by John Bradshaw, ran a 7.75s 1/4 at 176mph this weekend (28th September 2008) at Santa Pod in the Nationals.

This Gizzmo Sponsored Animal of a GTS-T is Rear Wheel Drive and only 2.8 litre!
The Gizzmo MS-IBC Electronic Boost Controller it runs made a significant difference over the Electronic Boost Controller that was fitted previously. In conjunction with other modifications Johns GTST has dropped from mid 8s to an 8.1 second 1/4 earlier in the summer. Project GTST has now run three back-to-back 7 second passes in one day on low boost!!!

Official figures are yet to be announced, but it rumoured to make 1140hp at the hubs at a rock steady 2.2 bar without Nitrous on high boost and over 1000hp at the hubs on low boost.

It will be back at Santa Pod for the Jap Finale next weekend. A 7.6 second pass could be on the cards if conditions allow the full force of 2.2 bar to be unleashed!

Specification also includes a Gizzmo Phenolic Thermal Intake Gasket.

Congratulations to…
Abbey
